Dennis is celebrating 50 years in the music business. He recorded his first single in 1973 [“Could you ever love me again”], followed by three top ten singles in the seventies – “A rose has to die” , “A million drums” and “Stone Walls”, and received a SARIE Award for Best Male vocalist in 1977.

He was a key member of the rock band Stingray in 1979 with the hit “Better the devil you know”, which also charted in the UK. A number of his compositions were recorded locally and internationally by artists such as John Farnham, Glen Campbell, Tim Bogert and Tricia Leigh Fischer( sister of Carrie Fischer).

He has produced a number of high profile local artists, including Patricia Lewis, Dozi, Lance James and Manie Jackson.

Dennis hosts the LM Friday night ‘The Legends of SA Music’ show [9 to 11 pm]
