Megan Edwards has the smoothest voice to ever grace SA’s night-time airwaves. Despite her natural-born voice built for easy listening, Megan didn’t start her journey in radio and broadcasting.
She began in the telecommunications industry in 1997 with cellular giants Vodacom. It was back then that SABC executive noticed her potential and pushed her to pursue a career with her voice. For the last 10 years, Megan has been a professional voice artist, training facilitator, radio presenter, MC, mentor and youth development worker.
Since then a world of possibilities opened, and she is now studying a degree in drama, speech and theatre arts. She creates her own work, sending out voice samples and freelancing in advertising and the training industry doing voice work. She is currently involved in a project with Blended Audio, doing dubbing on the sidelines. In her personal time, she is actively involved in youth groups, mentoring young women for NGO, Raising Eagles.
