You are probably aware that the AM transmitter on 702 kHz was severely damaged in an electrical storm on Friday 7 February. Sentech, the state owned signal distributor who operates the transmitter site on which LM Radio is located has been unable to repair the transmitter. LM Radio contracted the importer / agent for the transmitter to assist with repairs. As of this morning they have not attended to the repair. LM Radio does not yet have a definitive answer from the agent as to when they will restore the transmitter. We had hoped that the service would have been restored by now. We will provide further updates as soon as the know. Please monitor the LM Radio website: www.lmradio.co.za for further information.
In the meantime LM Radio is available on DSTV ch 821, Open view radio ch 602, on the LM Radio SA App and streaming via the website. While driving you can stream LM Radio via the app and play it through your car Blue Tooth or radio Aux input for FM quality sound.
